Clear Safety - Internal

Opalux® safety and security window films are designed to make glass safer, both by strengthening it against breakage and helping hold dangerous shards of shattered glass in situations where breakage does occur.

Reflective films are the best performing products in the solar control range as they can make an incredible difference to the amount of solar heat & glare transmitted through glass.

Emergency Glazing Film

Emergency glazing film is a heavy-duty temporary film that is applied to a window once the glass has been broken. It is used to keep the glass safe and prevent the glass from cracking further when it is being removed from the frame. It is a short term, cost effective solution while you wait for the glass to be removed. The Emergency Glazing film is a clear polyester which means it doesn’t hinder the vision through or prevent light into the room but is also more visually appealing than a boarded up window.

 

Reflective Window Film - External

External films are are of weather resistant construction having additional UV barriers to help protect the film from degrading through exposure to sunshine, and also having a strong waterproof adhesive. They are particularly used when inside access is not always possible or depending on the type of glass, in particular laminated, Georgian-wired, heavy tinted glass or some double or tripled glazing. 

 

Opalux Frosted

Translucent privacy screening films are used to give two-way privacy while still allowing a good level of natural light in through the window. The Privacy frosted vinyl’s can be plotter cut into any design or logo for your unique setting.

 

Translucent Coloured Vinyl

MACal 9700 Pro Vinyls are a unique and creative way to add privacy to your rooms, while still allowing plenty of natural light into the room. They are manufactured in such a way as to guarantee uniform colour reproduction. 

 

Reeded Glass Film

Reeded Glass Effect patterned film gives architects, designers, and specifiers, fresh scope for decorating and enhancing glass with a Reeded Glass effect in on partitioning and interior projects, in all types of office, commercial, retail, and residential buildings.

Solar Control - Polycarbonate

Solar reflective films for polycarbonate windows or rooflights are manufactured with a special adhesive to counter the tendency for standard reflective films to bubble up if applied to plastics instead of glass.
 

Light Reduction

The Non-reflective Slate range are a non-metallised used for tinting clear glass, and are available in a range of shades. They are a great way to help control the light into a room without creating a mirrored external appearance. The lighter shades are mainly used for aesthetic reasons and to match existing tinted glass.

 

Light Blockout

These products offer 24-hour privacy, they cannot be seen through and are not translucent. This product is great to apply to glass partitions where you are needing to hide clutter or shelves that are close to the glass.

Coloured Tints

The Opalux Art Colours are a brilliant way to give a striking effect to any glass. These tinted films are a great decorative film as they maintain the optical clarity. 

MACal Frosted

A translucent, high-performance indoor and outdoor film, ideal for producing decoration of windows and glass decor for an etched, frosted or sandblasted effect. They are available in 2 matt finishes; Frosted and Dusted.

 

Clear Safety - External

External Safety films are mainly used where both interior and exterior films have been specified for application to both sides of the glazing units for extra strength and protection. This could be for any number of reasons to provide a double protection safety or security application. A regular use of these exterior films is to hold glass together where there is a history of spontaneous shattering of glazing units in overhead or vertical situations creating a severe and unpredictable risk to the public.

 

Transparent Coloured Vinyl

MACcrystal 8400 Vinyls are a glossy transparent film used as a decorative film to enhance the appearance of the glass without hindering vision through. It is manufactured in such a way so as to guarantee uniform colour reproduction, and is coated with a long-life durable adhesive.

 

Low Mirror Window Film - Internal

Lower reflectance but still achieve a good level of solar heat and glare control, which varies with the density selected. They offer a balanced year-round performance of good solar heat rejection with higher light transmission and additional winter heat-saving benefits.

Low Mirror Window Film - External

Opalux® Low Mirror external films are used where the end user, or specifier, chooses a more neutral tinted appearance, rather than the mirrored look of solar reflective films. However they still achieve a good level of solar heat and glare control.

 

Temporary Protection

Temporary Protection film is a thin polyester with a low-tac and an easy peel therefore it removes cleanly with no glue residue and is easy to work with. It is suitable for protecting the glass against dirt or scratching during building work or restorations. It also protects the surfaces when handling, transporting and installing panels of glass. 

 

Combined Safety

Opalux multi-laminate combined solar/safety/security films are used by Government and commercial organisations where high-performance safety, particularly with reference to risk of bomb-blast, is required along with the features of a solar control film.

 

Light Diffuser

3M Light diffuser products are neutral density translucent films which have been developed to offer better light diffusion and uniformity across the entire sign face. They control brightness and distribute the light evenly within light boxes removing hotspots or stripes in the face of the sign.

Other external

Alternative solutions maybe required where a film is needed to reduce solar heat or glare but is non-metallised. We have the options of a dark tinted film or a clear heat control film to suit.

Opaque Coloured Vinyl

The MACal 9800 Pro Vinyls are a high performance vinyl designed for long term interior and exterior graphic applications. The MACal 9800 Pro SL are very intense and luminous colours for attractive graphics with a white adhesive to them. The MACal 9800 Pro provide ideal conformability over simple contours. They are all coated with a durable permanent adhesive giving excellent dimensional stability.

Tinted Window Film - Internal

Tinted films are mainly used for aesthetic reasons and to help control solar glare and UV radiation. They are a non-metallised used for tinting clear glass, and are available in a range of shades. These films give varying levels of day-time privacy with a low mirror exterior appearance to the glass.  

Manifestation

Opalux Glass Manifestations film products are for up-grading glazing in accordance with Health & Safety recommendations which advocate the marking of large uninterrupted glazes areas; specifically, the Workplace (Health, Safety & welfare) Regulations 1992

Solar Control - External

Anti-Fog

The Anti-Fog window film products are designed for where condensation appears on window glazing, this is often due to higher humidity. These products are manufactured with a special anti-condensation layer designed to spread the water across the surface of the glass to help maintain better vision through.

Coloured Window Film - Internal

These out of the ordinary solar control films give a striking decorative appeal to any glass and still offer maximum heat and glare rejection.

Vision Control Film

The Vision Control Film is the alternative to the original Lumisty product which has been discontinued, it provides a unique way of controlling the view. As you change your viewing angle, the glass changes its appearance from clear to frosted. With 4 different types of window film to choose from, Vision Control Film offers an effective solution to control visibility. Applying this film to a window enables controlled privacy and creates a novel effect.

Specialist Window Film - Internal

The sun’s ultra violet (UV) ray’s, over time, cause colours to fade, fabrics to deteriorate, wood to warp & crack etc.  This can be considerably prevented ahead of time by installing Opalux UV control, anti-fade window films. 
Opalux clear heat control films are state-of-the-art spectrally selective window films. This means that they give you good solar heat rejection without noticeably reducing daylight levels or changing the appearance of the windows. 

 

 

Shade Material

Shade Material is an excellent alternative to window film, where you may want privacy and sometimes you may not. They allow the natural light to come into the room while still controlling the unwanted heat and glare unlike fabric shades.

UV Digital Printable Film

The UV printable film is used where a bespoke design is required on glass to upgrade the aesthetic appearance or incorporate company branding. It is an optically clear film which can be printed onto by most wide format UV cured ink-jet printers.

Low Emissivity Window Film Internal

Opalux energy control window films are internally applied solar control films with a Low-E coating added to the interior facing surface of the film. The Low-E coating reduces winter heat-loss through the glazed areas of your building, helping to reduce your heating bills thus improving your carbon footprint.
